Legislature Confirms Gov. Lamont’s nomination of Kristin Urbach to full term on Port Authority Board

Executive Director Kristin Urbach was unanimously confirmed in January for a 4-year term on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Port Authority.

Gov. Ned Lamont nominated Kristin for the full term after previously appointing her in August to fill an interim position following the resignation of another member.

Kristin testified before the Executive and Legislative Nominations Committee on Jan. 23 and earned the endorsement of the entire panel, which consists of Senate and House leaders and representatives of both chambers appointed by leadership.

“I am honored that Gov. Lamont sought my expertise in maritime affairs as it relates to the important work at State Pier, a vital element in the nation’s offshore wind industry supply chain and the jobs it brings to Connecticut. I look forward to strengthening Connecticut’s role as a national leader in the Blue Economy.”
