CWC Vice-Chair joins federal, regional leaders to establish OSW collaboration with Netherlands stakeholders

CWC Vice-Chair Andrew Lavigne represented the State of Connecticut Department of Economic & Community Development in a delegation to the Netherlands focused on offshore wind ports, supply chain and innovation.

The delegation was organized by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and included participation from representatives of U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, New Bedford Ocean Cluster, Empire State Development, New York City Economic Development Corporation, New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, and Rhode Island Commerce.

The delegation engaged with representatives from the Port of Rotterdam, education and research institutions, and industry-leading companies and start-ups to establish relationships intended to foster collaboration for the advancement of offshore wind in Connecticut, New England and the U.S.
