Kristin Urbach, Executive Director of the Connecticut Wind Collaborative, has been appointed to serve on Senator Chris Murphy’s Long Island Sound Regional Priority Council.

“Senator Murphy views these councils as a unique way to connect partners and community leaders across the state on shared priorities and overlapping work through our staff,” according to a statement from the Senator’s office. “These Councils include diverse community leaders who work on conservation, the blue economy, fishing, aquaculture, environmental issues and more.”

The Councils also provide communication opportunities, with the Senator’s staff offering federal updates from his outreach and policy teams while Council members provide updates from the local level that will inform Sen. Murphy’s staff about critical issues facing his constituents.
