June will be an especially busy month for Executive Director Kristin Urbach, as she will be a featured speaker at the Renewable UK Global Offshore Wind 2025 Conference in London June 17-18, just days after speaking in Chicago at the Sustainability Delivery Summit June 9-11!

To illustrate the Northeast’s collaborative approach to the industry, Kristin will join Jennifer Downing, Executive Director of the New Bedford Ocean Cluster, Will Cox, Vice President of Business Development and Investments at Rhode Island Commerce, and Lisa Berry Engler, Deputy Managing Director of Offshore Wind at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center on the panel Powering through: Offshore Wind Development in the Northeast Region of the U.S.

Each state’s efforts will be highlighted in the context of the region’s support for and opportunities available in the industry. Kristin will discuss the Collaborative’s first-in-the-nation regional supply chain study, “Connecticut Offshore Wind Supply Chain Assessment: Opportunities and Collaborative Efforts in the Northeast,” as part of her presentation.

Given their leadership roles at the forefront of the U.S. industry, the New England delegation will provide this international audience with insight into the current landscape of U.S. offshore wind and the impact of recent policies, including the Trump Administration’s Executive Order on Energy.

With a theme of “Mission Possible,” the 5,000 attendees from 50 countries will hear from and network with high-profile and technical speakers, policy leaders, global developers and innovative technology suppliers.

Joining Kristin from Connecticut will be Michael White, Jesse Baldwin and Tony Appleton, all from ThayerMahan of Groton. ThayerMahan provides Big Bubble Curtain noise mitigation equipment during turbine foundation installation and passive acoustic monitoring for whales throughout wind farm construction.

Kristin has arranged several meetings for the Connecticut delegation with European developers and government leaders and will co-host a networking event while in London.
